Description
PiroCoatA is a one-component fire retardant paint for communication penetrations from fire compartments. Fire retardant paint is produced as a high density thick creamy white mass. Suitable for application with a spatula or, after light dilution with water, as a hydrodynamic paint coating. PiroCoatA is non-combustible. It can be packed in a variety of containers, ranging from 330 ml cartridges to 3kg and 10 kg buckets. PiroCoatA can be overcoated with water-based paints. Before application, surfaces must be dust-free and lightly dampened with water.
Use: PiroCoat A is used for fireproofing and fire protection of wall and floor penetrations for cables, cable bundles, cable trays or combinations thereof. It can be applied to mineral wool used as an insulating covering, to woollen tiles as a mixed coating. It has good adhesion to a wide range of surfaces, including ceramics, plaster, mineral wool and metals. PiroCoat A is characterised by very good insulating properties, protecting surfaces from direct heating by naked flame and thus preventing the spread of fire. Penetrations protected by PiroCoat A are classified as EI class.
