-Expandable gasket PUD is made from a mixture of polymers and fillers that expand on combustion. By increasing its volume several times, it prevents fire spreading through the fire door/window in which it is installed.
Usage:
– PUD expandable gasket is designed for sealing fire resistant doors and windows. It is used for sealing openings in door leaves and frames, in wood, aluminium and steel single and double fire doors. It can also be used on uneven surfaces, as well as under decorative strips. The gasket is completely waterproof, will not peel or flake and is very difficult to break once assembled. The gasket is pressed into a matrix, giving it very precise and invariable geometric dimensions and a high surface quality. To facilitate installation, the gasket is provided with self-adhesive tape. Selling in strips of different lengths allows waste to be minimised. Expansion The height and pressure of the PUD was tested at the Institute of Building Research in accordance with the EOTA TR024: 2006 am: 2009 bubble method.
The -PUD gasket is installed around the door, in a pre-milled location. 3M double-sided adhesive tape ensures a stable connection with the glued element. The tape should be placed in the prepared cut slit and then taped around the door or window to be protected.
