Description
Hempel A/S has completed ETA 24/0660 for Hempafire Extreme 550 epoxy-based expanding fire retardant paint for fire protection of steel structural elements. Hempafire Extreme 550 is a solvent free two component epoxy fire retardant paint for use as a reactive coating system for fire protection of building structures, beams and columns to achieve a fire resistance classification according to 13501. -2. Hempafire Extreme 550 is intended for the fire protection of open profiles (H and I) and closed rectangular and circular profiles of various dimensions up to a fire resistance rating R240 designed for a temperature range of 300 °C to 850 °C. The compatibility and performance of the paint has been evaluated with a wide range of primers and finishes for exposure class X (exterior use).
