Hempafire XTR 100 is a lightweight, two-component, epoxy-based expanding fire retardant paint that provides up to 4 hours of protection.
UL-certified fire protection against hydrocarbon pool fires.
Tested and certified to the UL 1709 standard, the Hempafire XTR 100 protects the structural steel from the rising temperatures to which it will be exposed in a hydrocarbon pool fire, allowing it to maintain its structural integrity for longer periods of time. It does this by forming an anisolating carbon that protects the steel from the damaging effects of thermal exposure.
Typical uses:
As passive fire protection in oil and gas structural steel installations, petrochemical plants and in the power generation sector requiring protection against hydrocarbon extinguishing in the event of fire.
It can be used for:
– Structural steel (beams, poles, ferms, etc.)
– Pipe racks/support structures
– Shipbuilding constructions
