Hempel A/S has completed the new fire retardant paint for steel structural elements Hempafire Pro 320 ETA 23/0762.
Hempafire Pro 320 is a solvent-based fire retardant paint that can be sprayed or, for small areas, applied by brush or roller.
Hempafire Pro 320 is used as a reactive coating system for structural beams and posts to achieve fire resistance class EN 13501-2.
Hempafire Pro 320 is intended for fire protection of open sections (H and I) and rectangular and circular hollow sections, with different dimensions up to the fire resistance duration designed for temperatures ranging from 300 ºC to 850 ºC.
The compatibility and performance of the paint has been assessed with a wide range of primers and topcoats in exposure classes Type X (outdoor use) and Type Y (semi-exposed conditions), depending on the topcoat.
